Job Description:
As a System Design Engineer you will have a varied set of tasks. First, you are iin charge of the daily operation of the data backup system for corporate IT applications, more specifically the Veritas NetBackup (and Cohesity) environment. You configure and maintain the backup devices. In addition, you manage the entire life cycle of the backup and restore infrastructure with data protection in mind. You also maintain constant contact with customers and IT suppliers and keep the operational documentation of the system up to date.
Your skills:
In addition to possessing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, as a System Design Engineer you possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Experience with Veritas NetBackup
- Demonstrated experience with server application backups (Windows, Unix)
- Knowledge of ITIL and SAFe
